Guide Review - Walk Away the Pounds

Leslie Sansone is well known in the fitness market for providing fitness guidance and programs geared for the average woman. This is not a program for athletes in training, rather it is for the long time couch potato who has finally realized it is time to get up and move. This book was written as a companion to the in-home walking videos that the author created and has promoted over the last few years.

Overall it is a good fitness program for those who have not been active but are now motivated to increase their activity level. It is attractive for those who have tried and failed other programs as there is no long term commitment and cost are low. You can basically start this program anywhere with the only equipment recommended being a sturdy pair of shoes. Comfortable, easy to move in clothing is also recommended.

The book also includes a log where you can document your goals and progress. Writing these things down is often a powerful motivator for the weak willed. The photos and illustrations are excellent and demonstrate the exercise techniques.

This is really a wonderful aerobic exercise program for anyone who has not been active. It is low impact and easy to start. With this exercise program and a well balanced reduced calorie diet you should lose extra pounds and tone your body. You will need to add some strength exercises to achieve maximum health effects. This is a good basic program that if followed cannot harm and will help.
