Review Plans

Once you have a list of all your medications it is time to review the plans that are available in your area. There is a search tool on the Medicare site that can help you find the plan that meets your needs. Be prepared to spend some time reviewing your options - in some areas there are 40 plans to choose from.

Remember to take your time and pick the plan that best meets your needs. Once you enroll in a plan you will not be able to change until the open enrollment period in November. Take into consideration your lifestyle. If you travel or spend a period of time away from home you will want to look at one of the national plans or find out if a mail order option is available.
