What Medications Are You Taking?

As you review plans before signing up it is important that you review the coverage to find the plan that covers most if not all of your medications. All plans are required to provide for drugs in all classes of drugs. If you have trouble finding a plan that covers all of your drugs you may want to discuss finding an alternative to the non-covered drug with your physician. If your doctor determine that there is no substitute for the medication prescribed an appeal can be lodged with the plan to make an exception for coverage.

All plans provide drugs that are a part of their formulary. You will be checking to see if the drugs you are presently on are on your plans formulary.
