Planning For the Future

While you may feel fit and healthy today you never know what health problems or disabilities will affect you in the future. Early planning for Long-term Care (LTC) can help prevent anxiety for you and loved ones when and if help is needed for health issues and/or personal care.

There are many options available for LTC, it could be in the home with home care, assisted living or nursing home care. The actual location will vary according to the level of care needed.

In addition to know what kind of care is needed another area that needs to be planned is how to pay for it. Many people assume that Medicare will pay the bills, but Medicare will only cover the costs of Medicare care. Any care considered "custodial" is not paid for by Medicare.

While it may seem confusing at first, do your homework and make plans now for the furture.
