Action:
Aldactone helps to reduce the amount of water in the body by actin on the kidneys to increase the flow of urine without excreting potassium in the urine. It can also be used to help increase the level of potassium in the body when it is too low.
Adverse Effects:
    Signs and symptoms of too much potassium: confusion; irregular heartbeat;
  • nervous feeling; numbness or tingling in the extremities; shortness of breath; excessive tiredness or weakness
  • Skin rash
  • This drug may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. For protction try to stay out of direct sunlight, use a sunblock anytime you go outside and wear protective clothing including sunglasses.

Interactions:
Be sure to tell your doctor about all medications you may be taking, espeically over the counter medications for appitite control, ashtma, colds, hay fever or sinus problems as they tend to increase your blood pressure.
