FAQ
- Q. Do I have to register to use the forums?A. You can enter as a guest and read posts, but you must register before you can post or answer a post that's already there. Registering is quick, simple, and free. Please join us.
- Q. Are there any types of posts that are prohibited here?A. We will delete any spam or commercial posts. Please do not post to sell something or involve anyone in a money-making proposition. Flames or rude / insensitive remarks will be removed. Users who are disruptive may be gagged at the Guide's discretion.
- Q. May I promote my product or Web site here?A. As with most places on the Internet, you may make your URL part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts, but please do not place commercial posts on the forum. They will be considered spam and be deleted.
- Q. Do medical professionals answer questions here?A. No. There are medical professionals who post to our forums, but they do not give medical advice. They post and share just as our other forum members. Online information cannot take the place of your doctor's care.
- Q. Do all posts here have to be on-topic?A. Not at all! We encourage off-topic postings such as personal messages, jokes, etc., in our Support Forum. Our only request is that material be "family-rated" as we sometimes have young readers.
- Q. Why has my email address been deleted from my posts?A. We will delete any email addresses we notice in forum posts for your privacy and protection. There is software that "harvests" email addresses to add them to mailing lists for spammers. Thus, posting your email address sets you up for a mailbox full of spam. You can email other forum members via their profile by clicking on their name above their post.
- Q. How can I report a violation of forum rules?A. If you move your cursor to the lower left corner of any forum post, a menu will be shown. Please select "Report Violation," and fill in the information requested.
