Definition: Rupture of a blood vessel, usually an artery in the brain causing bleeding and brain damage. This is frequently caused by hypertension (high blood pressure).

Also Known As: Brain hemorrhage, cerebral bleed.

Alternate Spellings: Hemorrhagenic cerebrum.

Common Misspellings: Hemmorhage, hemorage.
