imgman2.jpg (16663 bytes)

The Nutrition Program for the Elderly (NPE) helps provide elderly persons with nutritionally sound meals through meals-on-wheels programs, or in senior citizen centers and similar congregate feeding settings.

The NPE is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service's (DHHS) Administration on Aging, but receives commodity foods and financial support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).
