How To Join In and Become Part of The Senior Health Community

A Forum is a place where people can post messages, thoughts, comments and questions that pertain to the Forum topic. In this case, the Forum topic is Senior Health. Sometime Forums are referred to as Bulletin Boards or, "Boards" for a shorter version.

Forums differ from chat rooms. In a chat room, people are online at the same time 'speaking' to one another by typing in messages that the other chatters can see and respond to immediately online. In a Forum, you may visit periodically and post messages only to the discussions (called "threads") that interest you. You may take time to think and formulate your answer, use cut and paste features from other programs, add attachments like photos, etc.

You must register to be a Forum member. This is fast and easy. Guests may view the boards without registering but are unable to post messages. The Forum is case-sensitive for "user name" and "password." Be sure to type your user name and password EXACTLY the same as you did when you registered. It's a good idea to write down your "user name" and "password" where it is handy in case you forget.

Once logged into the Forum if you have found a message to which you would like to reply you can simply click on the "REPLY" button after the post. This will open an area for you to type in your reply. When done typing your message you can preview what you wrote by clicking on "PREVIEW". If you are happy with the result you click on "POST". If you want to make a correction or change click on "REVISE" and make the change, then click on "POST".

To create a NEW post click on any area that contains the words "POST NEW". Please post related messages in the FOLDER that best covers the topic of your post.
