How to Protect Your Skin from Aging

Follow these simple tips to maintain clear, smooth skin as you age.

Difficulty Level: easy      Time Required: 30 minutes every day

Here's How:
  1. Stay out of the sun as much as possible.
  2. Apply sunscreen whenever you will be outdoors. Use a product that is at least SPF 15.
  3. Wear a hat while out in the sun.
  4. Stop smoking. Smoking robs your body of oxygen needed for cell repair.
  5. Drink at least eight, 10 ounce glasses of water daily. Water helps flush toxins from your body.
  6. Avoid using soap on your face as it can be very drying. Use a cleansing cream instead.
  7. Use a light, non greasy moisturizer everyday.
  8. Try to get enough sleep. Cell growth and repair are enhanced sleeping.
  9. Eat a balanced diet. Protein is essential for cell repair.
  10. Smile. Frowning causes wrinkles.
Tips:
  1. If you must be out in the sun, remember that early morning and late afternoon are the best times to be out.
  2. Don't skip sunscreen because it is cloudy or overcast. Damaging rays can still reach your skin.
  3. Remember, you can't stop the march of time, just slow it down.
