Question - Are there alternative treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis?:

I am interested in knowing if you have any information on treating Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia using alternative methods, such as natural supplements such as Glucosamine Sulfate and Chrondroitin, and MSM, SAMe? Or, perhaps any other natural supplements you may know of, that I do not. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Guide Responds:

Natural supplements such as glucosamine and chrondroitin have been found to help reduce some of the inflammation and pain of rheumatoid arthrits, though they are generally more helpful in treating osteoarthritis.

Any treatment you consider should be discussed with your physician. Many of these therapies are now being called "complimentary therapy" as they are being used in conjuntions with the more traditional therapies.

You'll also find it helpful to talk with others who may have similar experiences or problems. The best places to do that are our Forums and Chatroom.
