Follow the links for more info.... Question - Were can I find health insurance that covers care outside the US?: I am a Canadian resident and my 75-year-old mother will be visiting me from the USA. She has Medical coverage in USA since she is a green card holder. She will be visiting me for approximately 2 weeks and I need a medical/health insurance for the duration she her stay here in Canada. She has some pre-existing conditions, i.e. High blood pressure, glaucoma, Arthritis, Sinus, Irritable Bowl Syndrome and cataract. Please can you tell me of a health/ Medical insurance that will cover her for her visit to Canada? Guide Responds: Traditional Medicare and Medicaid provide little to no coverage outside the United States. Medicare HMO's do cover emergency care outside the US, but many seniors do not have the option of joining a Medicare HMO.
