Question - What can you tell me about hypoglycemia?:

My daughter has what she thinks she has low blood sugar. Can you give me any information on this condition?

Guide Responds:

Low blood sugar, or hypoglycemia is generally associated with diabetes. It is usually related to taking insulin or other diabetic medications and then not eating enough or using up too many calories.

It can also be caused by other conditions such as drug reactions, hormone imbalances, prolonged fasting etc.

You'll also find it helpful to talk with others who may have similar experiences or problems. The best places to do that are our Forums and Chatroom.
