November 11 is Veteran's Day in the United States and Remembrance Day in Canada. For countries all over the world it is a day to pay tribute to the brave men and women who fought for their country.

Veterans have their own special healthcare needs and well deserved health benefits. Many countries have government agencies set up to administer those benefits. As the veteran population ages those benefits become even more important. There has been some increase in budgets for the Veterans Administration and cost of living adjustments for Veterans benefits.

Eligibility for veterans disability health benefits is based on a set of criteria that the claimant must meet. The amount of disability is set in percentages of impairment, from 0% to 100%. It is important for the veteran to be reevaluated periodically as the aging process may increase the level of disability. Any veterans facility in the country can help guide the veteran through the evaluation process and the inevitable paperwork (remember this is a government program - need I say more).
