In a report issued this week the National Women's Health Resource Center lists the top 100 cities in the US for "dry eye". The top city on the list is Las Vegas NV.
Dry eye is a condition where the quantity and quality of the fluid that lubricates the eyes is decreased. It can cause pain and reddness of the eyes. Dry eye can be caused by conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, or by some medications. Post menopausal women are more prone to develop this. Air quality and humidity levels also affect dry eye.
The cites were rated on air quality, level of humitity and dust in the air among other factors. If you live or visit in these cities be sure to carry your eye drops.
