Beware of Medicare Drug Fraud Schemes
Saturday June 24, 2006
The centers for Medicare and Medicaid have released information warning seniors about fraudulent scams aimed at taking money out of seniors pockets. If you receive a phone call that tries to sell you a Medicare drug plan or Medicare discount card be aware of this scam. These criminals will try to get bank or credit card information that could cost much more than the $300 dollar charge they state. If you receive such a call hang up and contact Medicare at 1-877-7SAFERX (1-877-772-3379) or your local law enforcement or consumer protection agency.
