Most people assume Alzheimer's disease is the culprit when seniors have memory problems or changes in their behavior and personality. While Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia, there are several other conditions that can cause the same type of symptoms, which include memory problems, changes in personality, bizarre behavior among others. It is important to know the cause of the dementia in order to treat it and possibly prevent further deterioration.
