Osteoporosis Drug May Cause Jaw Disease

Several lawsuits have been filed against Merck the maker of osteoporosis drug Fosamax, accusing it of causing osteonecrosis of the jaw bone. Merck is also facing legal problems with hundreds of lawsuits from patients who took the pain medication Vioxx taken off the market last year. If you are taking Fosamax and are experiencing jaw pain be sure to talk with your doctor and dentist about this and include information on the drugs you are taking.
