Medicare Drug Plan Enrollment

Officials with Health and Human Services are reporting that enrollment for Medicare Part D (prescription drug plan) is on track with about half of the 43 million Medicare recipients already signed up. Most of those who signed up already had some type of drug coverage either through an employee retirement plan or were getting their medications through Medicaid. [br]The plan becomes effective January 1, 2006, but seniors have until May 15, 2006 to sign up for a plan without risk of penalty.
