Time for Your Flu Shot
Thursday October 27, 2005
Federal and state health departments are urging those people who are at risk from the flu to get their shots now. Unlike last year there is no shortage of vaccine, and there are plenty of sites offering shots. People who should get the flu vaccine include adults over the age of 65, anyone with a chronic condition such as diabetes. Very young children should also get a flu shot.
While much is being heard about the bird flu, the human flu virus is the one we should be worrying about. The flu kills thousands every year, with the elderly being most vulnerable. Don't delay - get your shot now.
