A study from the University of South Florida reports in the August issue of The Gerontologist suggests that obesity in older adults may not impact their longevity as much as it affects the quality of those senior years. Obesity is more likely to mean they will live with a disability rather than leading a more active and healthy life. Weight loss remains an important preventive health measure for seniors.
