Celebrex Debate

There has been a lively discussion on the Senior Health forum about the pros and cons of continuing to use controversial pain medications such as Vioxx and Celebrex. Rohoe99 is still using Celebrex even though he is a heart patient and has had no ill effects. He is being monitored by his physician.
For some, these medications are the only relief they get, and the benefits outweigh the risks. While not for everyone they continue to be valuable medications.

Perhaps the FDA should take the advice of a panel that suggested limiting advertising for these medications - take it back to physician directed care.
