President Clinton's Heart

Former President Bill Clinton underwent open heart surgery haveing a quadruple bypass after tests confirmed that several of the arteries that lead to his heart are severely blocked. He sought medical care with complaints of chest pain and shortness of breath. According to reports he has also complained of fatigue over the last few weeks. The 58 year old politician sought medical early and appears to have prevented damage to his heart. He will undergo bypass surgery soon and is expected to make a full recovery.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among Americans. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking and obesity all increase the risks. Mr. Clinton has battled his weight for years but has recently trimmed down with the help of the South Beach Diet.
