Slow Alzheimer's - maybe

A new report suggests that the drug donepezil may slow the progression of of mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's disease by about 18 months. More severe than the occasional forgetfulness we all have, mild cognitive impairment often develops into Alzheimer's disease after about 3 years. Be advised though that the effectiveness of this drug despite this study is controversial as some previous studies have not shown it to be as effective as this study claims.
