Medicare Drug Plan Blues

We now know that the administration knew this plan was going to cost more than they admitted. We also know that the preliminary part of the plan is confusing, and many seniors are not signing up for the discount cards because of that confusion. But now the bitterest pill to swallow may be that those seniors who have good health coverage - including prescription drug coverage may end up losing that coverage and be forced towards the Medicare plan. In all likelihood the Medicare plan will cost then more.

If you have health care coverage as a part of your retirement, it is not too soon to start asking questions about the security of those benefits.
