Medicare still has higher drug costs

If you are a Medicare beneficiary using one of the new Medicare discount cards you might be interested in knowing that the Veterans Administration is able purchase drugs at a lower price than you are paying. The VA has negotiated special pricing of the medications it buys, unlike Medicare which is specifically prohibited from doing so under the Medicare Modernization Act which passed late last year.
