Hi — the Senior Home Safety course you mentioned does sound interesting, and potentially useful for my mom. I like the fact that it deals with making your home, or the home of a loved one, a safer place to live (my mother is 86, so I am especially interested in this topic).

I just wanted your readers to know that another way to ensure senior safety is by using a medical alarm system, with 2-way voice communication that can summon help by pressing a button you wear. This also gives loved ones peace of mind, since they are automatically notified if anything happens. I work for Life Alert, who makes such a medical alarm system; if you want more info, please see our site, Lifealert.net — there are useful articles for seniors there, too.

Please continue to post other info on this topic, similar to this post; I look forward to it. Thanks.

Don
