A report from Institute of Medicine suggests that 'Health Literacy' Low in America. The report blames a multitude of factors including literacy rates, the number of adults who do not count english as their native tongue and overly complicated medical language. If you don't understand what your doctor is telling you, ask him to explain it in simpler terms.
