Medicare Drug Plan Deceit

A news story alleges that a Medicare official was threatened with termination from his post if he revealed the true cost of the Medicare prescription drug plan passed in 2003. The cost of the plan originally was pegged at about $400 billion. After the bill passed the White House released information that the actual cost estimates were incorrect and now stands at closer to $540 billion.
