Ashcroft's Gallbladder

Attorney General John Ashcroft had his gallbladder removed after being hospitalized with acute pancreatitis, caused by gallstones. Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas and can cause severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
